Windows 10 will not even detect any of the 3 printers i have connected via usb and turned on. 'No devices found.' These are HP 7150, 1512, and canon 1p2702.

I have to install them via software, for which there is none for the 7150. Which means I must extract the inf from the exe and choose install.

I'm having problems with my printer also. I try to print anything (a doc an email, etc) and the app locks up (Word, Firefox, Thunderbird, Excel). I go into Control Panel and click on Printers and Devices and it keeps looking ( I see the the little round thing that replaced the hourglass) for 10 min or so until I go into Task Manager to end the task.

I tried going into Troubleshooter->View All->Printer per the above steps. I've been watching the green progress bar for about 15 minutes now. It says 'Checking for spooler service errors..' I will have to go into Task manager soon and end that.

FWIW I have an Epson 2650, only a couple months old, direct connected via USB. And, yes, I did check that the cable is connected.

Thanks to all your help I found my printer. However, now I have a different problem which is, my card reader is not recognized by Windows 10. I should have kept Windows 8.1

Try the following methods and check if it helps:

Method 1:

I suggest you to plug in the SD card reader and run the hardware device troubleshooter and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps to uninstall the Universal Serial bus controllers driver:

1. Press Windows + R keys on the Keyboard.
2. Type devmgmt.msc in the open text box.

4. Right- click on the drivers and select Uninstall.
5. Click on OK on Confirm device uninstall prompt.
6. Restart the computer, the drivers will get automatically installed on your Windows 10.

My printer shows up under devices but not printers and it won't find it when I click on Add Printers. I am frustrated I upgraded because this software does not enhance my use of my computer and has only caused me headaches. Jen
